Sam Roberts predicted The Rock to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Sam Roberts recently commented on The Rock‘s potential plans on the Road to WrestleMania 41.
On Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Roberts discussed a possible scenario for The Final Boss involving Cody Rhodes in the lead-up to next year’s Show of Shows.
“So, how do you get there? What if this time for your night two main event it’s Cody and The Rock, right? The Rock’s already come back. He’s got the People’s Title. Cody’s got the WWE Championship. [The] Rock’s like, ‘Enough, I’m gonna do what I should’ve done last year. In fact, I’m gonna do what I did last year. I’m gonna pin you but this time I’m gonna take you out and I’m gonna take it all.”
On Night One of WrestleMania XL, The Rock pinned Rhodes in The Bloodline’s tag team match against The American Nightmare and Seth Rollins.
Following Rhodes’ victory over Roman Reigns on Night Two, he was confronted by The Final Boss. The two superstars briefly exchanged their titles, with Rhodes holding the People’s Championship.
