Liam Payne shared several personal posts on his personal page with his girlfriend before falling from the balcony to his death. Fans gathered below the hotel where the singer died, many celebrities sent condolences, mourning the former One Direction member.

Liam Payne’s Last Post Before His Death
Liam Payne shared his last social media post with his girlfriend, just minutes before he died at the age of 31 after “falling off the balcony”.

According to TMZ, the former One Direction member fell from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina at around 5pm on October 16 (local time).

The star’s last Snapchat post shows him happily posing with girlfriend Kate Cassidy. The previous photo, Kate shared to celebrate his 30th birthday last year.

Subsequent posts about Liam Payne’s final moments show him enjoying a late breakfast in his hotel room. The singer revealed that he and his girlfriend “wake up at 1pm every day” and decided to choose Forrest Gump as their Halloween costume.

Other selfies were captioned: “Great day in Argentina”, “Nice to have some time off”…

A source from TMZ said Payne and Kate flew to South America together, but she returned home on October 14 and he went to the hotel alone.

After receiving an emergency call from hotel staff. Police and rescuers arrived but were too late. Payne died after falling from the balcony. According to authorities, the fall resulted in serious injuries that could not be saved. Before the fall, hotel staff said he was mentally unstable. An investigation into the singer’s death is ongoing.

A crowd gathered outside the CasaSur Palermo hotel, with dozens of police and rescue teams cordoning off the area.

“The neighbourhood is very chaotic… There are a lot of police, some fans. It’s very sad,” said a worker near the hotel.

One Direction fan Violeta Antier told Reuters she arrived shortly after hearing of Payne’s death:

“I saw him two weeks ago at a Niall Horan (another One Direction member) concert. He looked fine.” Earlier this month, Payne attended a concert by former bandmate Niall Horan in Buenos Aires.

He has previously spoken out about his mental health struggles and using alcohol to cope with the pressures of fame.

Many celebrities have sent their condolences to the late singer’s family.

Singer Charlie Puth shared a series of photos with Payne on his Instagram Story: “I’m in shock. Liam was always so good to me. He was one of the first big artists I worked with. I can’t believe he’s gone… I’m so sad right now, may he rest in peace.”

“So sad to hear about Liam Payne’s passing. Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace my friend,” Paris Hilton said.

Irish singing duo Jedward, a former contestant on The X Factor, posted the message: “Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear, and the whole One Direction family, rest in peace Liam Payne.”

British model, singer-songwriter Karen Elson wrote: “Rest in peace Liam. I really hope this isn’t true. My heart goes out to his family and especially his son.”

DJ Fat Tony mourns tragic news: “God bless you my friend. Rest in peace. I am truly saddened, can’t believe you are gone, what a great loss, such a wonderful man.”

German music producer and DJ Zedd expressed his condolences and lamented the short, fragile life. “You never know what people are going through. We live in a time where being rude, divisive and mean is normal, sometimes even celebrated. It doesn’t have to be that way. We should try our best to be kind.”

One Direction member Harry Styles’ mother mourned the late singer with a broken heart emoji posted on Instagram: “Just a boy… “, she wrote.
