🌎 Liam Payne’s ex: Maya Henry claims he ‘predicted he was going to die soon’ and she ‘tried to help him’ before hotel balcony tragedy

Liam Payne’s ex-fiancée Maya Henry has claimed the One Direction star “predicted he was going to die soon” and “tried to help him” before he fell from a hotel balcony to his death.

The 31-year-old singer died instantly from multiple injuries, including a fractured skull, after falling 45 feet from a third-floor balcony at the Casa Sur hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday.

In a haunting podcast two days before Payne died, Texas model Henry, 23, told how she tried to help the singer because he was “playing with death”.

‘There was one time I tried to help him, but he wouldn’t accept it,’ she told The Internet is Dead podcast.

Ms Henry, who sent Payne a letter to end the relationship last week after accusing him of contacting her repeatedly, added: ‘He kept texting me after we broke up, saying, “I’m not well”. ‘He was always joking about death and saying, “Oh, I’m going to die, I’m not well”. I knew his lifestyle and one day something was going to happen.’

‘So I always thought, okay, he’s said these things, I’m going to have to help him because I wouldn’t be able to survive if something happened to him.’

It was also reported on Monday that Ms Henry had started legal proceedings against Payne, accusing him of obsessive contact and “using” fans against her.

Lawyers for the star told MailOnline on Monday: ‘Last week, Maya Henry issued a cease and desist order against Liam Payne after new and disturbing information emerged.’

After confirming his death, a source close to Ms Henry said: ‘She’s obviously in shock at the moment.’

Last week, Ms Henry – the daughter of millionaire personal injury lawyer Thomas J. Henry – claimed that he had made every effort to contact her in a video to her TikTok followers.

‘Since we broke up, he’s been texting me, blowing up my phone, not just from his phone, but from different numbers, so I never know where they’re coming from,’ she said.

‘He’ll create new iCloud accounts to text me – always a new fucking iCloud account. Every time I see one pop up on my phone, I’m like, ‘f***ing again.’

‘Also, he’ll email me… not just me, but he’s blowing up my mom’s phone. Is that normal behavior for you?’

Last week, the model also accused Payne of exploiting One Direction’s loyal fan base on social media to mock her.
