Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari is becoming more and more concrete. Before seeing the Briton officially wear the red suit at the presentation of the Scuderia’s four-seaters on February 19, things will have to come down to the first tests that the seven-time world champion will carry out with Ferrari this week.

Hamilton arrived this morning at the Ferrari racing department to prepare for his track debut scheduled for Wednesday 22 at Fiorano, the team’s private circuit, with the F1-75, the 2022 four-seater, with which he will have the right to race up to 1000 km since it is a model of more than two years. Within the Gestioe Sportiva, the usual climate of activity reigned in all departments, because the arrival of the Mercedes driver colleague in Maraello aroused great ethics.

Hamilton showed up early in the morning at the Gestio Sportiva headquarters: this day is intended as a “contact meeting” , a preparatory day. The Scuderia staff has therefore started moulding the bucket, having had a taste for the meticulousness they will have to demonstrate in creating the carbon “cradle” in which Hamilton will sit when he is called upon to drive in the coming days.

Immediately, the 40-year-old driver rushed to grab his steering wheel, checking if some of the controls he had requested had been added according to his wishes. Hamilton was then taken to the seat adjacent to the Fiorao circuit, where the simulator designed by Dyisma is located, a system certainly more moderate than that which he usually used at Brackley. He was also able to try the simulator for the first time, test the flight and evaluate the few small changes.

He was also able to take the first photos of him in his red jumpsuit. However, the real work will begin tomorrow, when he will discover not only Ferrari’s methods, but also the car he will drive on Wednesday at the Prancing Horse circuit.

The British champion will undergo the “ritual” of Fioraao, immediately discovering what it means to become a Ferrari pilotari: on Wednesday, he will meet his teammate Charles Leclerc, who will begin his training. Both of them will try to collaborate, because on the track, rivalries will not be visible… Hamilton is already part of the legend of his new team with a photo published on social networks in front of Ezo Ferrari’s house.
