All parents think their child is brilliant. Maye Musk, the cover model of Sports Illustrated and Dietitian-Nutritionist registered, is no exception, especially because it turns out that his son is Elon Musk, the executive director of Tesla Inc. and Spacex.

Maye Musk shared his knowledge about the early brilliance of his eldest son during an interview in “CBS This Morning.” He explained that he recognized his potential when he was 3 years old, which eventually led him to become an influential entrepreneur and the richest man in the world.
“At 3 years I knew it was a genius,” recalls Maye Musk. He tried to admit it in the nursery ahead of time, but the staff simply “put their eyes blank.”
When talking about the fact that his son is a genius, he said: “But many geniuses do not put their talents into practice. They end up in a basement somewhere. That’s why I was excited when he founded Zip2, simplifying the door -to -door indications and providing links to restaurants for newspapers. Although it may seem common today, it was innovative at that time, and that is why I invested in it.”
In a profile for The Times UK, he said: “I called Elon‘ the genius boy ’. He remembered everything.”
His early recognition of Elon’s potential marked the beginning of his business trip, which would later cover companies such as Paypal, space exploration, solar energy and electric cars, despite his advice to choose only one.
Maye Musk was interviewed as part of a BBC documentary, in which she described her son as a “genius.” He also said that due to his enormous success, his son “receives a lot of hatred.”
In 2022, Maye Musk turned to X, formerly Twitter, to defend his son amid an avalanche of negative comments aimed at his recent publications. He suggested that those who criticized him for his controversial publications were not real people but automated bots, and stressed that much of the criticism came from false accounts.
This defense occurred after Musk publicly announced his change of being a Democratic voter to support the Republican Party.
In the same BBC interview, he explained his experience as a science enthusiast in high school. He shared that he did not have many appointments because he insisted on dating someone who was as competent in mathematics and sciences like her, but no one but his ex -husband was.
