Enea Bastianini to drive one of most iconic rally cars

Next weekend, MotoGP will be on a break, with a pause before returning for the Australian GP. Enea Bastianini will take the opportunity to venture into the world of four wheels… behind the wheel of an iconic car.

The Ducati rider will participate in the 22nd edition of Rallylegend in San Marino, an event that celebrates the history and present of rallying. Bastianini will have the chance to drive an Audi Quattro S1, teaming up with Emanuele Zonzini.

This is one of the legendary models from the Group B era of the World Rally Championship (WRC), featuring an impressive 2.1 liter turbo engine capable of producing 450 hp. It made its rally debut in 1984, and a year later, the German manufacturer finished second in the championship.

Bastianini joins a growing list of MotoGP riders who have had the opportunity to drive rally cars, following in the footsteps of other stars. One notable example is Valentino Rossi, who has done it multiple times and even participated in three rounds of the WRC.
