John Fury thinks Tyson Fury deserves to win his first fight with Oleksandr Usyk and will win the upcoming rematch

Tyson Fury is gearing up for his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk on December 21, and his father, John Fury, expects some changes from the heavyweight champion. Despite Fury’s first professional defeat in their undisputed heavyweight championship clash last month, John Fury believes his son deserved to win and will come back stronger.

Tyson Fury expressed confidence in his performance, telling Furocity that his fight against Usyk was “too easy,” despite the loss. However, John Fury acknowledges that adjustments are necessary for the upcoming bout.

John Fury expects his son to implement changes under the guidance of his trainer, SugarHill Steward. “I’d assume there’d be certain changes, but that’s up to Tyson and SugarHill, who I have great respect for,” he told Sky Sports. Steward, a protégé of the legendary Emanuel Steward, will play a crucial role in Fury’s preparation for the rematch.

In their first fight, Tyson Fury suffered a close decision loss to Usyk. John Fury, along with many at Top Rank, believed Tyson should have been awarded the victory. “I thought he won a close fight, but I could see it going the other way, which it did,” John Fury explained.

John Fury emphasized the importance of Tyson maintaining his performance throughout the entire fight. “If Tyson trains well and goes 12 meaningful rounds, he should be able to beat Usyk,” he stated. He noted that while Tyson dominated the early rounds, Usyk gained momentum in the later stages, particularly from the eighth to the eleventh rounds. “Tyson has to fight 12 full rounds. The first part of the fight was all Fury, but Usyk came on strong in the later rounds.”

Tyson Fury is already back in training, focusing on redemption and regaining his title. John Fury remains optimistic about his son’s chances in the rematch, believing that with the right adjustments and a full 12-round effort, Tyson can secure victory.

As the December 21 rematch approaches, boxing fans eagerly anticipate another thrilling clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, with Tyson determined to reclaim his title and prove his dominance in the heavyweight division.
