Her comments were specifically aimed at Valentina Petrillo, a transgender Paralympic athlete from Italy, and Algeria’s Imane Khelif, who recently generated discussions about inclusion policies in sports. Rowling’s stance has spurred conversations worldwide, as she argues for clearer definitions and protections for women in competitive athletics.

Rowling’s statements, shared on social media and through various public forums, center around her concerns for maintaining fairness in women’s sports. She argues that biological differences between men and women play a significant role in competitive settings, particularly when strength and endurance are tested.
