Jake Paul confirms he’s ‘unfit’ long-term and still can’t believe he’s going to fight Mike Tyson as the date gets closer
In under two months, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will go head to head against influencer, now boxer, Jake Paul in one of the year’s most anticipated boxing showdowns.
At a recent press conference, the two fighters had the chance to stir up additional excitement for their upcoming bout at Arlington, Texas.
Paul is still astonished by the opportunity to fight at one of the United States’ most iconic venues, AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. He acknowledges that being the center of attention for about 80,000 spectators is a dream come true. He also highlights the road he has traveled to reach this point, despite not being the favorite in this match.
Although Paul didn’t receive the fan enthusiasm he anticipated at the press conference, the 27-year-old appears to be fueled by his detractors. He remains confident that the outcome will be in his favor, despite facing a seasoned veteran with significantly more experience.
Even when this is Tyson’s first bout since 2020, he appears to be in good shape as he has shared in his social media the way he has been preparing for the fight. Some concerns have emerged given the age gap between the fighters but also because Jake has knocked-out his last two opponents.
