**Jake Paul Forced to Convince Hulk Hogan That Mike Tyson Fight Isn’t Scripted**
In an amusing twist, social media star Jake Paul found himself having to reassure WWE legend Hulk Hogan that his highly anticipated fight with heavyweight legend Mike Tyson is not scripted. The bout, initially scheduled for next month, had to be postponed to November 15 after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up. Set for eight two-minute rounds, the fight has already sparked debates about its authenticity.
Hulk Hogan, a wrestling icon familiar with the world of scripted sports entertainment, was among the skeptics. Speaking to TMZ, Hogan shared his doubts and subsequent conversation with Paul. “I’m friends with both guys,” Hogan explained. “I love Mike to death, but I was in Miami for the Formula 1 races with Jake Paul. I pulled Jake aside and said, ‘Hey brother, what’s up with this thing? Is this a work like wrestling, or are you guys going to really go at it?’”
Paul’s response was unequivocal. “He says, ‘I’m going to knock him out!’ So I’m excited about it. I’m glad it is rescheduled because I don’t want any excuses. I want both men at 100 percent. I get a feeling this will be the fight of the century. This is going to be a good one,” Hogan recounted.
Despite the reassurance, Paul’s fight preparations have taken an unexpected turn. He has agreed to fight former UFC fighter and current bare-knuckle boxing star Mike Perry next month in Florida. The decision, which comes after years of verbal sparring between the two, could potentially jeopardize his bout with Tyson.
“Now, as I prepare for my fight against Iron Mike, there’s no better opponent for me than Mike Perry,” Paul stated. “He’s a proven knockout artist who has shown to be a maniac in and out of the ring. This is the perfect experience for me to gain in advance of facing Mike Tyson. But getting that experience comes with risk.”
