The highly anticipated exhibition fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has a new date. The event will now take place on Friday, Nov. 15 at the iconic AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be available to stream globally on Netflix.
The fight between the Youtuber-turned-boxer and former heavyweight champion was postponed due to an ulcer flare-up that Tyson experienced on May 26. The original card is expected to stay the same and the rematch fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will remain on the Paul-Tyson card and serve as the co-main event on Nov. 15.
The fight will still take place at the AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The event’s organizers, Most Valuable Promotions, had to carefully plan around the Cowboys’ schedule to ensure a smooth event. The new date, Nov. 15, was chosen to avoid any conflicts with the Cowboys’ football schedule, as they will be hosting the Houston Texans for Monday Night Football on Nov. 18.
“Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T stadium amid the Cowboys season,” Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, said in a statement. “We appreciate the outstanding dedication, collaboration, and flexibility of our partners at Netflix and AT&T Stadium. Paul vs. Tyson is the most cross-generational sporting event in history, and we are committed to providing fans worldwide with this unforgettable night of boxing, live globally on Netflix. We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, November 15 for a showdown that will be talked about for generations to come.”
