Rafael Nadal, the world tennis icon, and his wife María Francisca Perelló, better known as Xisca, have revealed that they are pregnant with 8 -week twins. The happiness that radiates cannot be contained, and their words have touched the hearts of millions.

With a smile that barely fit him on his face and the voice broken by emotion, Rafael Nadal shared the news in an intimate interview with RTVE from his home in Manacor:

“After so many battles on the track, this is, without a doubt, the most beautiful that life has given me. I am the happiest person in the world.”

The couple, who has always maintained their private life away from the media spotlights, surprised everyone by deciding to share this special stage. Xisca, radiant, stroked his belly with tenderness as he affirmed:

“We have waited for this moment with patience and hope. And now that it has arrived, we could not feel more blessed.”

“We looked at each other, and without saying it, we knew what their names would be,” said Xisca. “We do not choose them for fashion, but for what they represent for us.”

The chosen names areSebastianyLucia, in honor of Rafael’s paternal grandfather and Xisca’s mother, respectively.

“They are names full of history, love and roots. We want our children to grow up knowing where they come from,” Nadal explained.

The athlete, who had already announced a partial retreat from the professional circuit after his participation in Roland Garros 2024, has confirmed that he will now devote most of his time to his family.

“Tennis has given me everything, but this new role as a father fills me in a way that cannot be explained in words,” he confessed.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation has also announced a new initiative in honor of the twins: a program to support young mothers in vulnerability, which has been applauded by international organizations.

Despite being one of the best known couples in Spain, Rafa and Xisca have always maintained a discreet profile. They met in their adolescence and, since then, their love has grown with the same record as Nadal’s game. Married since 2019, they are already parents of a son born in 2022, but this time, the emotion has doubled … literally.
