“HE SHOULD OUT” – Shohei Ohtani angrily MOCKING that Bullpen Blunder Costs Dodgers in Walk-Off Loss to Giants

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Treinen’s ninth-inning appearance against the San Francisco Giants on Friday night ended abruptly with a walk-off home run by rookie Brett Wisely, sealing a 4-3 victory for the Giants.

Treinen began the inning by walking Luis Matos on four pitches, only one of which was near the strike zone. Facing Wisely, Treinen threw a mix of pitches, but the final slider caught too much of the plate, allowing Wisely to drive it deep into right field for the win.

“Honestly, I don’t even know where the pitch ended up that he hit,” Treinen said. “I threw two good sliders before that. Swung and missed on one. Seemed like the right pitch at that time. … It’s all about execution, and sometimes they execute better than we do.”
This walk-off marked the Giants’ 31st such victory over the Dodgers since both teams moved to the West Coast in 1958. Earlier in the game, Daniel Hudson also surrendered a two-run homer, adding to the Dodgers’ pitching woes.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts acknowledged the challenges, noting the leadoff walk and the misplaced pitch to Wisely. Despite the setbacks, Roberts emphasized that perfection is unattainable and such moments are part of the game.

“The leadoff walk by Blake wasn’t ideal,” Dave Roberts said. “Then he had count leverage [on Wisely] and left a pitch out over [the plate]. Huddy tried to go down and away to Chapman and just made a mistake with the heater. He made us pay. They can’t be perfect. It’s gonna happen.”
