Boxing superstar Tyson Fury has made a bold prediction about the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, suggesting that it could spell trouble for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

When the matchup between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was first announced, it drew skepticism from many in the boxing community. Concerns were raised not only due to the significant age difference between the two fighters but also because Tyson hasn’t fought in four years, while Jake Paul has been actively pursuing a boxing career.

Initially scheduled for mid-July, the fight was postponed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up during a flight to Miami. The bout has now been rescheduled for mid-November, with Tyson already back in training.

Despite the doubts surrounding the fight’s legitimacy, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is confident in Tyson’s ability to deliver a memorable performance. Fury, who is named after the boxing legend, firmly believes that Tyson will dominate and potentially embarrass Jake Paul.

In a recent YouTube short shared by MMAREAD, Fury expressed his support for Tyson: “Listen, if Mike Tyson hits anybody, I don’t care if he’s 90, he’s gonna knock them out cold, isn’t he? Obviously, I have to back Mike Tyson. I’m named after the legend and I’ll back him. As he always backs me, I’m backing Mike for the knockout. Come on, Mike!”
While many in the boxing world, including Fury, are rooting for Tyson to defend the sport’s honor, there are logical arguments in favor of Jake Paul as well. As the younger fighter, Paul may possess advantages in terms of stamina, speed, and punch frequency, despite lacking Tyson’s natural skills.
In addition to the Tyson fight, Jake Paul has other opportunities on the horizon. Boxing cult hero Butterbean has proposed a $2 million “winner-takes-all” fight, and the WBA has expressed interest in seeing Paul face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for a championship bout.
As the fight approaches, the anticipation continues to build, with both Paul and Tyson having their own strengths and challenges to overcome.
