In a recent episode of Jake Paul’s podcast BS w/ Jake Paul, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou did not hold back when discussing the upcoming fight between Paul and boxing legend Mike Tyson. Scheduled for November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the fight promises to be an intense showdown between the 27-year-old Paul and the 58-year-old Tyson.
Ngannou, who trained with Tyson ahead of his own boxing debut, remains confident in Tyson’s abilities despite his age. He bluntly told Paul, “Mike Tyson will beat your ass,” standing by his earlier statement that Tyson could still outperform Paul. Ngannou described Tyson as “a specimen” and praised the former champion’s movements and power, which have made him one of the most feared fighters in boxing history.
Though Paul took the prediction in stride, laughing at Ngannou’s honesty, the MMA star’s support for Tyson is unwavering. With the fight approaching, Paul will need to prepare carefully, as Ngannou warned him to “watch out for everything” Tyson has to offer.
Despite Tyson’s medical issues, including a postponed fight due to an ulcer, Paul remains confident the fight will happen. Sanctioned as a professional heavyweight contest with modified rules, the fight will consist of eight two-minute rounds with 14oz gloves, and knockouts will count towards their professional records.
