An investigation is required on Sinner after the quarter -final of Wimbledon. Sinner’s answer leaves everyone speechless
The atmosphere of Wimbledon 2025 overheated dramatically after the quarter -final who saw Jannik Sinner triumph against Ben Shelton triumphed in an intense match full of twists. But what really shaken the world of tennis came immediately after the game, when Ben Shelton released strong and provocative statements, insinuating that Sinner’s success may not be the result of the talent alone.
During the post-match press conference, Shelton said with accusatory tone:“He can’t win forever! Something doesn’t come back: you need an immediate investigation.”According to some journalists present, the American would have hinted suspicions about the use of “illegal means” or non -regulatory practices by Sinner, without however providing any concrete test. His words have turned on a heated debate on social networks and among tennis experts, dividing the public between supporters and critics.
The response of Jannik Sinner did not get to expect. In a calm but decisive way, the Italian champion replied in front of the cameras:“I prefer to speak with the facts, not with the insinuations.”Subsequently, he firmly added a phrase that quickly made the tour of the world:“Those who cannot lose, shouts at the plot.”An affirmation that has silenced most of the criticisms and that received applause from fans, professionals and even other professional tennis players.
The International Tennis Federation (ITF), meanwhile, has released a press release in which it clarifies that “there is currently no official tests or reports that justify the opening of an investigation against Sinner.”
The case, however, has already left its mark and risks staining one of the highest moments of the young Italian career, which continues to demonstrate maturity and class inside and off the pitch. While Shelton is now in the center of criticism for his hasty words, Sinner is preparing for the semifinal with a single goal: to respond with the game.
