The big fight for the IBF heavyweight boxing championship between Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua took place at Wembley Stadium (England). 

While Dubois (27) is the IBF belt holder, Joshua (34) is a former two-time world champion, so fans expected the match to be a thrilling affair. However, the development of the match went against all predictions.

In the first round, Dubois showed his dominance over Joshua, even knocking his opponent to the floor with a powerful right punch. Although he quickly got up, Joshua had a hard time resisting the terrible pressure from his junior until the end of the second round. 

In round 3, before the bell rang to end the round, “The King of Boxing” was knocked down again, but he still held on through round 4.

In the fifth round, Joshua tried to attack to turn the situation around. However, a powerful counter-attacking right hook from Dubois caused the 34-year-old boxer to collapse. This time, the “King of Boxing” could not get up.

The match ended after just five rounds with a convincing knockout victory for Daniel Dubois, helping the 27-year-old boxer successfully defend his IBF title. For Joshua, this shocking defeat really dealt a heavy blow to the “King of Boxing”‘s ambition to return to the top.

With the advantage of youth, Dubois continuously overwhelmed Joshua from the first round.
