‘FULL VIDEO’ Ben Whittaker and Ezra Arenyeka scuffle at heated weigh-in

In a highly anticipated bout on the Chris Billam-Smith vs. Richard Riakporhe undercard at Selhurst Park, Ben Whittaker faces off against Ezra Arenyeka. The build-up to their fight has been anything but friendly, marked by intense verbal exchanges and physical confrontations.

Whittaker, an Olympic silver medallist, is set to box the ‘African King’ Ezra Arenyeka live on Sky Sports. Despite Arenyeka’s unbeaten 12-0 (10 KOs) record, he remains relatively unknown, gaining attention only after confronting Whittaker before his last fight.

Reflecting on the upcoming fight, Whittaker warned Arenyeka to “be careful what you ask for,” emphasizing his confidence in outboxing his opponent. “If I box the way I box, a style like that for me is tailor-made,” Whittaker remarked. He highlighted Arenyeka’s apparent lack of versatility, predicting that his opponent’s strategy would be to “run at me and hope for the best.”

Whittaker, known for his defensive skills and showboating, assured fans that landing punches on him is “easier said than done.” He taunted Arenyeka, suggesting his opponent is so slow he would have time to “make a cup of tea” during the match.

As tensions run high, both fighters are eager to prove themselves on this grand stage. Whittaker aims to use his experience and skill to deliver a decisive victory and teach Arenyeka a lesson in the ring.
