Frank Lloyd Wright called the Continental “the most beautiful car of all time”

The outbreak of World War II meant that Lincoln, like many other car manufacturers, had to temporarily stop car manufacturing and design. All for the Fatherland – Lincoln mobilized all resources to stand side by side with America in this war. It was thanks to Lincoln’s modern facilities that Ford was able to successfully produce and supply a huge number of tank engines to the Allies, amphibious tank bodies and more than 140,000 jeep bodies. Therefore, after the war, Lincoln and other car manufacturers mainly designed based on the exploitation of previous car models.

The 1950s witnessed Lincoln’s remarkable change in all aspects. A series of new inventions and innovations from the steering wheel, braking system, to tubeless tires and automatically adjustable seats – all are present on the Lincoln Premier. Besides, the Continental Mark II also brought a new look to Lincoln and became one of the most beautiful and inspiring cars of this decade.

Entering the new decade, Lincoln introduced the new version of the Continental – a car admired by the entire car world because it was not simply a “completely new” car but truly a “mini-revolution”. about style. If previous versions represented impressionism with elaborate refinement of every line, now, Continental is attractive and captivating because of its simplicity and sophistication. In addition, consumers have another choice – convertible cars. Considered the car that changed Lincoln’s appearance overnight, the new Continental was the first car to be awarded the title “Design of the Year” by the Institute of Industrial Design.
