FIA President breaks silence on accused over Max Verstappen swear ban saga: “We’ll only get rubbish”

Mohammed Ben Sulayem-led FIA was subjected to a lot of online hate and backlash following the swear ban saga. Max Verstappen‘s penalty of community service caused an uproar amongst the people in Formula 1 as they berated the governing body. Ben Sulayem has finally broken the silence and responded to this hate from the people in recent times.

Max Verstappen continued to take multiple digs at the community service penalty after petty behavior over the Singapore weekend. FIA’s recent ban on swear words meant that the drivers weren’t allowed to freely express their frustration on track. The governing body had previously noted their opinions on the entire behavior of the Dutchman.

However, following the massive hatred and ill comments against FIA’s new policy, Mohammed Ben Sulayem has hit back. Ben Sulayem noted that the governing body would never get the credit for the good deeds. The FIA president was aware that the body would only receive ‘rubbish’ and hatred from the individuals in the sport no matter their intent behind the rule changes.
