Female world boxing champion calls for a sh3cking fight with Jake Paul, ‘He doesn’t deserve it’

Jake Paul is now not set to fight for five more months after agreeing a new date with Mike Tyson, with an unlikely opponent calling him out.

Three-weight women’s boxing champion Claressa Shields has called out Jake Paul to an unlikely bout, stating that the YouTuber-turned-boxer could not beat her if they fought. Shields has not been a fan of Paul’s for numerous years, and has a strong dislike for influencer boxing. But despite Paul seemingly taking boxing seriously in recent years, Shields still has no love for him and has once again stated that she would beat him if they ever could meet in the ring.

She told TMZ Sports: ” The offer is always up there if Jake Paul wanna scrap with me. I don’t think that he’s that good of a boxer. I’m never ever going to say or even feel that Jake Paul can beat me in a boxing match because he can’t.” Four years ago, she had also stated: “I, Claressa Shields, will whoop Jake Paul’s ass. He can come in the ring weighing 180 pounds and I will come weighing 168 and I will beat the —- out of him!”

Paul’s fight with Mike Tyson had to be pushed back to November 15 – after the heavyweight legend was forced to pull out after having a medical emergency while on a plane, meaning he’ll have some time free for a fight in the summer. However, it appears Paul will not fight until then, taking time off before getting back into training to prepare for the bout against Tyson, who will be 31 years older than him.

Shields, meanwhile, has been on an unstoppable streak since turning professional, after her incredible amateur career when she won Gold Medals at the London and Rio de Janeiro Olympics. We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. Ranked as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the women’s game, Shields currently holds multiple belts at different weights and has announced she is set to step up two weight classes to heavyweight. Shields will challenge for the WBC heavyweight championship, fighting Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse on July 27.
