In a shocking (but not entirely surprising) development, Yamaha seem to have found a way to make their bikes work. Fabio Quartararo topped the timesheets at the Sepang Shakedown test, leaving the world (and Marc Marquez in particular) in awe.
“I can’t believe it,” Marquez said. “I thought Yamaha would be behind forever, but they proved me wrong.”
Of course, Marquez wasn’t the only one surprised. Fans around the world were also surprised to see Yamaha competing again.
“I thought Yamaha would never win a race again,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “But maybe I was wrong.”
However, some fans remained skeptical.
“It’s just a test,” wrote another. “Let’s see what they do during the season.”
Either way, it’s good news for Yamaha. They have shown that they can still compete with other teams. And if they can continue to improve, we could see them win some races this year.
