F1 NEWS🛑 FIA Concludes Investigation On Red Flag Advantage That Boosted Max Verstappen At Brazilian Gp

The FIA has officially released its findings regarding the controversial red flag during the Brazilian Grand Prix, which many believe gave Max Verstappen a significant advantage in securing his victory. Verstappen’s race strategy allowed him to stay on track longer than others amid wet conditions, ultimately positioning him in second place when the red flag was issued following Franco Colapinto’s crash. This fortunate timing allowed Red Bull to change Verstappen’s tires without losing time in the pits, giving him a strong advantage upon restart.

An FIA official addressed the matter, stating, “We understand the concerns raised, but our role is

to ensure safety first and foremost. The red flag was issued solely due to track conditions and

the incident at hand, not for strategic gains.”

The decision sparked a variety of reactions across the paddock and on social media. McLaren’s Lando Norris, who finished sixth, commented on the incident, remarking, “That’s life sometimes. You take a gamble. It’s paid off for them. It’s not talent; it’s just luck.” Though Norris later congratulated Verstappen, his comments have since fueled fan discussions online.

In response to Norris’s remark, the FIA official added, “Drivers are free to express their views, but strategic opportunities arise in all sports. We maintain that the decision was based on safety, as always, and no single team was targeted or favored.”

With this clarification, the FIA hopes to close the chapter on the red flag controversy, as Verstappen continues his march toward a fourth consecutive title
