Host nation Germany get the European Championship underway against Scotland in Munich, with fans already in town ahead of the game. Violence has already erupted in the German city, so police will be on alert throughout the tournament.
Violence erupted at a German pub housing Tartan Army supporters after a group of thugs began to throw chairs and attacking Scotland fans who were sipping pints in the sun.
Two individuals, who were also believed to have been Scots, were arrested by Munich police following the violent break out on Wednesday June 12.
Ugly scene saw revellers enjoying a stein in a beer garden in Marienplatz at around 9.30pm local time when a disagreement turned sour between two men dressed in neutral colours
Shock footage taken by the Record shows the pair shouting and swearing at the group before a scuffle broke out.
They then left, before returning minutes later shouting at the group- before launching chairs at the group of friends as bar staff bolted in to break up the rammy.
The thugs then proceeded to pick up stein glasses and lob them at the group as the violent scenes turned very ugly.
After initially leaving the scene the pair returned just sirens were heard as police descended onto the scene.
The duo were then arrested and taken away as Tartan Army sang ‘cheerio cheerio’.
Remarkably it did not appear that anyone was injured.
The violent scenes had come shortly after a jubilant rendition of Flower of Scotland in the central square as members of the Tartan Army had enjoyed the warm German weather.
