Errol Spence Jr. Delivers Bold Prediction for Gervonta Davis vs. Vasiliy Lomachenko Fight

Following his latest stoppage victory, Gervonta Davis has now set his sights on three-weight world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.

‘Tank’ knocked Frank Martin out in the eighth round of his ring return, reminding fans, pundits and rivals that he is one of the most explosive fighters on the planet.

With his first defence of the WBA Lightweight World Title under his belt, he now looks towards a unification against ‘Loma’ who, like Davis, picked up a belt after previously undisputed champion Devin Haney moved up in weight.

The Ukrainian stopped George Kambosos Jr in the eleventh round of their contest in Perth, Australia, winning the vacant IBF strap. His promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, has confirmed that talks are now underway for the two champions to meet later this year.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr predicted a knockout win for the younger man.

“I see Tank winning. I think Loma’s slowed down a lot. I see Tank probably catching him with a big shot.”

Fans have been calling for ‘Tank’ to face Lomachenko for some time now, and it’s the big name that his record needs if he wants to continue to build momentum as one of the most exciting fighters in the sport.

Should he win – and it’s still a tall task against even an ageing Lomachenko – there will be strong demand for him to meet WBC Champion Shakur Stevenson inside the ropes.

The two Americans have had a prolonged back and forth via social media, promising fans that it will materialise into a fight one of these days.
