Elon Musk Considers Buying CNN with Insane Price to ‘Set Things Right’, Says With Boast: ‘Our Country Will Be Better Off’
In what might be the most Elon Musk move of all time, the billionaire tech mogul has reportedly considered acquiring CNN, just because—well, why not? According to sources close to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Musk believes he could “fix the media landscape” by throwing an eye-popping, completely Musk-level price at the news network.
“This is not about money,” Musk allegedly said during an impromptu Twitter Space filled with memes, emojis, and sporadic dogecoin references. “This is about truth, justice, and memes. CNN needs a new boss—one with vision, rocket ships, and a better sense of humor.”
Critics have been quick to point out Musk’s history of overpromising and underdelivering, citing his semi-functional hyperloops and the eternal “full self-driving” updates. However, Musk brushed off skeptics, tweeting, “If I can send a car to Mars, I can definitely send CNN to the moon. Figuratively speaking… or maybe not.”
Insiders at CNN are said to be in a mild state of panic, with one anonymous executive stating, “What’s next? Musk turning our primetime lineup into a Tesla infomercial? We can already imagine him hosting ‘The Neuralink Hour’ or ‘Crypto Corner with Elon.’”
Musk, however, seems unfazed. “The media is broken,” he proclaimed. “And I’m just the guy to fix it. Our country will be better off when I own CNN. Trust me, I know better than anyone how to run anything—just ask Twitter.”
Naturally, Twitter exploded with reactions, ranging from supportive hashtags like #MuskForMediaReform to sarcastic memes featuring Musk Photoshopped as a news anchor holding a flamethrower. Even CNN’s rival networks chimed in, with one commentator quipping, “If Musk buys CNN, we’re just going to start streaming cat videos. No point competing with that circus.”
As the world waits to see if Musk’s latest brainwave becomes reality, one thing is certain: Elon Musk knows how to keep us entertained—whether we like it or not.
