Ducati Engineers Reveal Marc Marquez’s GP25 Equipment Will Be Harder Due to His Anger, Unlike Enea Bastianini

In a candid admission from Ducati’s engineering team, the task of tuning and adapting their latest GP25 motorcycle for Marc Marquez is expected to be significantly more challenging compared to previous riders, including Enea Bastianini. Sources close to the Ducati team have revealed that Marquez’s aggressive riding style and strong personality could complicate the setup process, potentially making it harder for engineers to fine-tune the machine to his needs.

While Ducati has had great success with Bastianini, whose riding style is reportedly more in line with the bike’s current configuration, Marquez’s aggressive approach to racing is expected to test the engineers in new ways. Marquez, a six-time MotoGP world champion, is known for pushing his bikes to the absolute limit, often demanding adjustments that take into account his unique riding style.

Ducati engineers have expressed concerns that Marquez’s fiery temperament and tendency to get frustrated quickly could create a tense working environment during the testing and development phases. “Marquez’s demands are different. He’s known for not holding back when it comes to his expectations. This will certainly make our work harder, especially in comparison to riders like Bastianini, who is more patient and methodical in his approach,” said one of Ducati’s senior engineers.

Despite these challenges, Ducati is confident in their ability to work with Marquez and bring out the best in the GP25. The bike, already one of the most advanced machines on the MotoGP grid, will need to be fine-tuned to accommodate Marquez’s dynamic riding style, which often demands rapid changes in bike behavior.

As the season progresses, the collaboration between Marquez and the Ducati team will be closely watched. Will the fiery Spanish rider be able to adjust to the Ducati’s machine, or will the engineers face an uphill battle to meet his exacting standards? Either way, it’s clear that the partnership will be one of the most intriguing and challenging storylines of the 2024 MotoGP season.
