Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, who recently competed against each other in the Paris Olympics men’s singles gold medal match, are set to face off once again in a different setting. This time, they will participate in a charity event ahead of the U.S. Open, joining forces with tennis legends John McEnroe and Andre Agassi.

In the event titled “Stars of the Open,” Djokovic will team up with McEnroe, while Alcaraz will partner with Agassi. This showcase, scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, aims to raise funds for the USTA Foundation through ticket sales. The match will feature a combined total of 43 major titles, with Djokovic contributing 24, Agassi eight, McEnroe seven, and Alcaraz four.

Djokovic enters the U.S. Open as the reigning champion, fresh off his first Olympic gold medal victory in Paris. He will be looking to defend his title and potentially extend his record to 25 major titles. Alcaraz, who has also had a remarkable year with victories at the French Open and Wimbledon, teamed up with Rafael Nadal at the Paris Olympics but ultimately lost in the quarterfinals. Alcaraz secured a silver medal after losing to Djokovic in the men’s singles final.

This charity event serves as a unique opportunity for fans to witness a generational clash between some of the greatest names in tennis, while also contributing to a noble cause.
