Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton had a notable exchange following their controversial collision during the Hungarian Grand Prix. A newly surfaced video captures the moment, revealing a brief but telling interaction between the two drivers after their dramatic on-track incident.

During the race, Verstappen and Hamilton were vying for third place when they collided at Turn One on lap 63. The clash caused significant disruption, with Verstappen dropping back and Hamilton continuing to finish in third place. Oscar Piastri ultimately claimed his maiden Grand Prix victory, leading a McLaren one-two as Lando Norris secured second.

Following the race, Verstappen and Hamilton were seen sharing a brief embrace. In the video, Verstappen is heard saying, “We’ll speak after,” highlighting the tension between them.

In a post-race interview, Verstappen placed the blame for the collision on Hamilton. He told Sky Sports, “I went for a move that was fully on, but in the middle of the braking zone when I’m already committed to the move, he keeps warping right. If I wouldn’t have turned while braking straight, I would’ve made contact with him.” He further explained, “At one point, yeah, naturally I lock up because he keeps on turning to the right. People always made a lot about what happened in Austria, but that was on the initial move and then you just brake straight, you hold your wheel quite straight. I felt like, now, it was not on the initial move but afterwards during the braking zone. He keeps turning right; you cannot do that when someone is committed on the inside.”

Verstappen defended his actions, saying, “That’s why I locked up; otherwise, we would’ve collided anyway because he would have turned in on me. I went for a move that was fully on, I don’t think I braked too late, but we’ll have a look at it.”
