Daniel Dubois Further Strengthens His Strength When Surpassing Anthony Joshua In KO Statistics, Usyk Is At The Bottom Of The Table

Daniel Dubois tops the ‘KO ratio’ rankings over rival Anthony Joshua.

Dubois and Joshua will collide on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in a huge heavyweight clash with the IBF world title on the line.

‘Dynamite’ has some serious punch power, and his promoter Frank Warren has claimed in the build-up that he punches harder than equally feared rival AJ.

He told talkSPORT: “I think he’s a bigger puncher than AJ, I really do. He’s the younger guy [at age 26], AJ’s 34.

“Most heavyweights don’t reach their primes until they’re in their 30s, but this young man’s really done well.

“He’s had to grit his teeth and showed a lot of heart and determination to come through against two undefeated fighters and stopped both of them.”

But new rankings have emerged which show Dubois has the highest KO ratio of any of the leading ranked heavyweights with the Ring Magazine.

Dubois has scored 20 knockouts in his 21 victories which see him top the list with a KO ratio of 95.24 per cent.

Joshua sits in third behind Dubois and British heavyweight Joe Joyce, with the former Olympic champion posting a KO ratio of 89.29 per cent.

American heavyweight Jared Anderson, Filip Hrgovic and Zhilei Zhang rank in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

British star Tyson Fury sits in seventh with a ratio of 70.59 per cent, while his recent conqueror Oleksandr Usyk sits bottom of the list at 63.64 per cent.

Although Dubois carries a higher ratio, it can be qualified by the fact Joshua has fought at the top level for more years than his counterpart

Frank Warren reveals that he expects the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight to break a Tyson Fury capacity record

AJ clearly carries immense power, and had his own 100 per cent KO ratio until his 2018 showdown with notoriously resistant Joseph Parker.

Both fighters have a mutual loss in undisputed champion Usyk, who has dismantled all of the leading contenders in the division.

1. Daniel Dubois 95.24%
2. Joe Joyce 93.75%
3. Anthony Joshua 89.29%
4. Jared Anderson 88.24%
5. Filip Hrgovic 82.35%
6. Zhilei Zhang 81.48%
7. Tyson Fury 70.59%
8. Agit Kabayel 68%
9. Joseph Parker 65.71%
10. Oleksandr Usyk 63.64%

But ‘The Cat’ believes Joshua will be a class above his rival on the night.

He said: “I treat Daniel Dubois with respect. I wish him good luck, and let him become the champion some day – that he trains well.

“There is no way to compare [Dubois and Joshua], because they are completely different fighters.

“Different skills; different styles. Totally different boxers.

“To be fair, I don’t think Dubois can reach Joshua’s level. I am sorry for saying this, but this is the truth and I’m telling it.”
