Controversy continues in the world of international sport. Lia Thomas, the transgender swimmer who has been the focus of heated debate in recent years, has received a severe blow:  sports authorities have banned her from participating in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.  The decision, which some have called “unfair” and others “necessary,” has ignited social media and reignited the global debate on inclusion and equity in sport.
