BREAKING NEWS🛑 Max Verstappen Responds to Calls from Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton: “I’ll Keep Doing What I’m Doing, FIA Can Fire Me If They Want”

Max Verstappen has been at the center of a media storm following his recent actions and comments, with both Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton urging the Red Bull driver to “behave properly” and “act like a World Champion.” After facing criticism for his behavior and swearing during press conferences, Verstappen has decided to address these remarks.

During a recent press conference, Verstappen, who was sanctioned by the FIA after swearing in a media session ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, made his position clear. Despite warnings from the FIA and comments from other drivers, Verstappen remains defiant, stating, “I’m going to continue doing what I’ve always done. The FIA can fire me if they want.”

The incident arose after Verstappen received a penalty from the FIA, which required him to undertake community service for his inappropriate language. In response to the punishment, Verstappen’s demeanor during the remainder of the Singapore GP weekend remained notably distant, even holding a separate media gathering after the formal FIA session ended. Verstappen’s stance has received mixed reactions. Fernando Alonso, a two-time World Champion, weighed in on the situation, emphasizing the need for drivers to be responsible role models. “You have to be prepared to be a role model when you want to be – and when you don’t too,” Alonso remarked. “When you want to say something that is not correct, you have to control yourself and be politically correct.”

Lewis Hamilton, Verstappen’s 2021 title rival, also advised the Dutchman to “act like a World Champion.” Hamilton, who has faced similar pressures throughout his career, reiterated the importance of conducting oneself properly on and off the track. “You have to act like a World Champion, be a team player, and remember the responsibility that comes with being at the top,” Hamilton said.

Despite the pressure, Verstappen remains resolute in his approach. “I’m not going to change who I am for anyone. This is how I race, and this is how I’ll keep racing,” he stated.
