BREAKING NEWS🛑 Jos Verstappen announces Max’s possible exit from F1 following FIA’s official ruling: “It’s completely ridiculous!”

Jos Verstappen, former F1 driver and father of reigning three-time world champion Max Verstappen, has publicly criticized the FIA after the governing body issued a controversial community service mandate to Max for swearing during an official press conference in Singapore. This punishment has led Jos to make a startling declaration about Max’s future in Formula 1.

In an exclusive interview with Motorsport.com, Jos expressed his frustration with the FIA’s decision, saying: “I think that is the most ridiculous thing.” He went on to compare the situation to other cases in motorsport, like the suspended €30,000 fine WRC driver Sébastien Ogier received for his comments toward officials at the Acropolis Rally in Greece.

Jos Verstappen’s dissatisfaction doesn’t stop there. He hinted that the FIA’s approach to disciplining drivers could force him to consider Max’s future in Formula 1, potentially leading to his son’s departure from the sport altogether. “I don’t think the FIA is doing a very good job,” Jos added before cautiously remarking, “But I won’t say too much about this!”

Max Verstappen, who was punished for using explicit language in the press conference prior to the Singapore Grand Prix, has remained relatively quiet on the matter. However, he protested in his own way by offering short, unenthusiastic responses during subsequent FIA press conferences.

This controversy has raised questions about how long Max Verstappen will tolerate the FIA’s rulings before he and his father take drastic steps. For now, Jos Verstappen’s declaration adds a new layer of uncertainty to Max’s future in Formula 1.
