A major sponsor brought to Ferrari by Carlos Sainz is set to join Williams from the 2025 season following the switch of teams.
Carlos Sainz has ended his four-year stint with Ferrari at the end of the 2024 season. The Spaniard is set to join Williams from 2025. Sainz had the backing of some major Ferrari sponsors, who were aiming to leave the Italian constructor. One of them is already making the jump from Maranello to Williams.
Carlos Sainz has had many fantastic moments in 2024 with Ferrari. The Spaniard has been a great asset to Maranello not only because of his performances, but also because of the financial backing of Spanish sponsors. Therefore, with Sainz’s team change, some major sponsors have already started planning the change of teams.
Santander, a Spanish multinational financial services company valued at $73 billion, will join Williams from next season. The Williams chassis will also feature the sponsor’s branding on the front wing, as on Ferrari. In addition, the FW46 will sport the branding during the end-of-season test with Sainz in Abu Dhabi.

Williams put in a lackluster performance in the 2024 season after finishing ninth in the constructors’ championship. The team could pick up its performance after Sainz joins the team in the upcoming season.
