Marc Marquez Demand Ducati Fair Fight and won’t give Francesco Bagnaia New Chassis

With only four rounds left in the MotoGP season, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) leads the championship by just ten points ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), in a battle likely to continue until the final round.

The Borgo Panigale manufacturer aims to keep this competition as balanced as possible, despite Martín being part of a satellite team that will switch to a different manufacturer in 2025 just like the Spanish rider.

Gigi Dall’Igna, Ducati Corse’s General Manager, told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he wants an equal fight, which is why the bike updates have stopped: ‘This is a sport, and it’s right that it remains a sport. For me, the best rider has to win. I think it’s significant that we haven’t introduced more technical innovations, preventing one rider from being given preferential treatment over the other’.

Bagnaia would have preferred to have the chassis he tested in Misano last September, but since it’s not possible to provide it to all four riders using the Desmosedici GP24, Ducati won’t give it to the Italian, as Dall’Igna explained: ‘Indeed. Maybe someone else might have made different choices’.
