Oleksandr Usyk is once again the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world after defeating Daniel Dubois.

The Ukrainian superstar defeated Dubois by fifth round knockout after dropping his rival twice at Wembley Stadium in London, adding the IBF belt to his WBC, WBA and WBO collection and become the sole ruler of the banner division for the second time.
Usyk first held all four world titles in May 2024 before he had to vacate the IBF belt, with that title now back in his possession to make him a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion and three-time undisputed overall after also achieving that honour at cruiserweight.
The last undisputed heavyweight champion before Usyk was Lennox Lewis, and he was in attendance at Wembley to witness the showdown, and needed just one word to sum up where he thinks Dubois went wrong – overcommiting.
“He was overcommitting.”
Lewis then shared his thoughts further on the performance of Dubois and whether he’ll be able to bounce back.
“He wanted this fight so bad. He wanted to get to Usyk but he couldn’t. Usyk is a great mover, a great champion and figured him out. That keep moving thing he does works, especially against big pinchers. When you try and line him up he’s not there.”
“He’s still young in my eyes and he can still come back. That is a tough loss but he can still come back.”
Following his win over Dubois to once again become undisputed heavyweight champion, Usyk revealed who is his first choice for his next opponent.
