Brad Pitt has donned full racing gear to film his new Formula 1-inspired movie Apex due out in the next year or two. The actor is not only a strong candidate for the cast because of his stellar CV including Fight Club and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, but also because he himself is a car enthusiast. His own collection ranges from luxury 4x4s, to American muscle cars to some serious supercars. Read below for the full list, including a few that might surprise you. 

According to carhp.com, one of the undoubted highlights of the collection is the 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Edition. This is said to be a gift from the actor from his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. The special edition Vanquish is named after the number of carbon fiber parts that help reduce the vehicle’s weight. With that comes increased speed – up to 201 mph, 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, with 567 horsepower. 

Brad also has room in his collection for some more comfortable and practical rides, like his black Audi Q7. This is often his first choice for school and other daily tasks. Even so, it can still reach an impressive speed of 155 mph, accelerate 0-60 km/h in 7.7 seconds with 280 horsepower.

The Audi R8 Spyder is another one in the supercar collection. It can reach speeds of over 200 mph – 203 to be exact – with 602 horsepower. Hitting 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, it’s not surprising that this convertible isn’t one we usually see the actor in.

Another car that the actor rarely drives is the Bentley Continental GT – a luxury, high-performance sports car. These start at more than $200,000, and every thousand dollars will get you nearly a mile per hour, as the car’s top speed is 198 mph. It can hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and boasts 542 horsepower.

The 2007 BMW Hydrogen 7 could be a surprising contender for the title of rarest car in the collection.   On the outside, this car looks like your everyday silver sedan, but underneath the body, it houses a rare engine that can run on hydrogen as well as regular fuel. Only 100 cars were produced and they were owned by only a few celebrities and BMW executives. Performance is the same as a normal sedan, with a top speed of 143 mph, reaching 60 mph in just under 10 seconds, and 256 horsepower. 

This quintessential American muscle car is another highlight of the collection. Brad’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS is black with the iconic orange center racing stripes guaranteed to be eye-catching. Along with the stripes, the 2010 model is reminiscent of the 1960s original with a front-mounted grille and dual exhaust pipes. Its V8 engine has 426 horsepower, reaching 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

Another luxury SUV in the collection is Brad’s Chevrolet Tahoe, which weighs more than 2.5 tons. It has 320 horsepower to move it around. But that’s still only enough to get the Tahoe to a top speed of about 120 mph, hitting 60 km/h in 7.5 seconds.

A notable part of Brad’s collection is his 1996 Jeep Cherokee, famous for its off-road capabilities and distinctive design. This is the oldest car in his collection and will therefore likely have some sentimental value. The all-wheel-drive engine had a top speed of 112 mph and 271 horsepower at launch, accelerating from 0-60 mph in 8 seconds. Unsurprisingly, given its age and design, this also makes it Brad’s slowest car, but that doesn’t take away from its nostalgic value and ruggedness.

This is almost certainly the most expensive car in the set. A Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 would be worth more than a quarter of a million pounds, which may explain why Brad was rarely seen on this trip. Its V12 engine has a capacity of 700 horsepower and can help the car reach a speed of 217 mph, reaching 60 km/h in 2.9 seconds. 

You probably wouldn’t expect a superstar like Brad Pitt to roll around in a standard Sedan, but every once in a while he does. Although he has a silver Lexus LS 460 F sports model, he still uses it for more mundane tasks in life, having been spotted with Angelina on several occasions. It’s unlikely the pair achieved the car’s top speed of 155 mph under those circumstances or used its full 360 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds.

One of the most commonly associated cars is the Mercedes-Benz G 55 AMG, other variants of the G-Class, also known as the G-wagon. Brad has been seen driving his car since 2008. The car combines luxury and open-air performance, while also possessing impressive power. This top-end G-wagon can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mpg with 493 horsepower. 

One of the other cars on this list that you might think is more relevant to Brad’s celebrity status is the Tesla Model S. In fact, he owns two – one black and one colored silver – it certainly came in handy when one was involved in an accident in 2018. He’s said to be in the same league as Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio, and of course, Elon Musk, when it comes to celebrities driving Teslas. The quiet electric motor of one of Brad’s models will still have 670 horsepower and a top speed of 155 mph, going from 0 to 60 mph in just over three seconds.
