Boxing Titan Anthony Joshua BANNED After Sh0ckingly Easy Knockout Defeat by Dubois

Anthony Joshua, the former heavyweight world champion, was banned for 28 days after suffering a heavy defeat to fellow countryman Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium. In the fight, Joshua was knocked down three times before suffering a decisive knockout in the fifth round, leaving the former “King of Boxing” unable to recover.

Bans from competition and fan reactions

The 28-day ban, from the British Boxing Board of Control, is the standard measure for British boxers when they lose by knockout, or are defeated in a fight.

However, this ban does not affect Joshua’s schedule too much, as he has no plans to compete before October 19. After this loss, Joshua will likely return to the ring in 2025, in the context of this being the fourth professional defeat of his career.

Joshua’s future opponents

Despite the loss to Dubois, Joshua is determined not to call it quits. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, has confirmed three potential opponents for Joshua’s next comeback. One of the notable options is a rematch with Daniel Dubois, who knocked Joshua out at Wembley.

Joshua’s future could also depend on the outcome of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on December 21. Hearn said that if Fury loses, Joshua and Fury could have one last epic fight to show their appreciation to the fans. If Fury wins, he could face Joshua in a unification heavyweight title fight.

The 2012 Olympic champion is facing many challenges, but that does not stop “The King of Boxing” from aiming to become the world heavyweight champion for the third time.
