BOMBSHELL! HORNER WANTS COLAPINTO WITH VERSTAPPEN AND OFFERS HIM A MILLION-DOLLAR CONTRACT THAT SHAKES THE WHOLE F1

BOMBSHELL! HORNER WANTS TO COLAPINTO WITH VERSTAPPEN AND OFFERS A MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT

Following an unexpected development that shook the Formula 1 world, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner is eyeing young Argentine talent Franco Colapinto. Rumors are circulating that he has received a multi-million dollar offer to join the main team alongside world champion Max Verstappen. According to multiple media reports, Horner has entered into negotiations with Colapinto’s current team, Williams, to secure the 21-year-old driver for the 2025 season. This could be a strategic move to revitalize the Red Bull team.

Colapinto, who made his Formula 1 debut for Williams at the 2024 Italian Grand Prix, has impressed the paddock with solid performances, including an eighth place in Azerbaijan and a tenth in Austin. His freshness, speed and charisma have made him an attractive figure not only on the track but also commercially, particularly in Latin America. Horner, known for his talent search, sees the Argentine as an opportunity to strengthen Red Bull’s image in the region, with the support of sponsors such as Claro, Mercado Libre, Globant and Uber. Red Bull is reportedly willing to offer up to $20 million to release Colapinto from his Williams contract, a figure that reflects the potential Horner sees in him.

However, the road ahead is fraught with difficulties. Colapinto has a long-term contract with Williams and while the British team cannot offer him a regular seat in 2025 due to the arrival of Carlos Sainz and the retention of Alex Albon, Williams principal James Vowles has suggested a loan could be an option. However, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has made it clear that a loan is out of the question as the team wants a full commitment from the driver. Negotiations, which have included key meetings in Austin, Mexico and Brazil, are at an advanced stage, although the final decision will depend on a number of factors, including the future of Sergio “Checo” Pérez, whose tenure at Red Bull is uncertain after a disappointing season.

The prospect of Colapinto racing alongside Verstappen, a driver known for his high standards, is generating excitement and speculation. Verstappen himself praised the Argentine after the Mexican Grand Prix, highlighting his “great work” since arriving in F1. However, the pressure of racing alongside the four-time world champion would be a huge challenge for a rookie like Colapinto. Meanwhile, Red Bull are also considering drivers from their own team, such as Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the Argentine’s fate.

With the driver market in crisis and the 2025 season fast approaching, Colapinto’s future is one of the hottest topics in Formula 1. Will Horner be able to secure this ambitious contract? Time will tell, but Red Bull’s interest in the young Argentine talent is already a testament to his meteoric rise in global motorsport.
