Bill Haney proposed banning Ryan Garcia from boxing forever after the VADA sample results

Bill Haney is demanding that Ryan Garcia be banned from the sport of boxing following recent controversies.

In what was supposed to be a WBC junior welterweight title fight, Ryan Garcia faced off against Bill’s son, Devin Haney. However, the title was not on the line as Garcia missed weight. Despite this, Garcia delivered an impressive performance, knocking Devin down three times and securing a majority decision win. This victory has since been tainted by the revelation that both of Garcia’s VADA test samples tested positive for ostarine, a banned substance.

Bill Haney is adamant that Garcia should be exiled from the boxing world. During an Instagram live session, he accused Garcia of attempting to harm his son intentionally. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Bill reiterated his stance, saying, “Clearly, there’s nothing that you can do with this guy, but get him out of the sport.”

Bill emphasized the negative impact of Garcia’s actions on the sport of boxing, describing it as a “terrible thing” for both sports in general and boxing specifically. He expressed his frustration, stating, “For him to sign up to do this and now to make a mockery of the sport — you know, it’s just terrible.”

In response to the positive test results, Garcia plans to send the supplements he used pre-fight to the New York State Athletic Commission to determine the cause. Garcia maintains that he did not intentionally take a banned substance and claims he is being set up. He faces potential suspension, fines, and the possibility of his win over Haney being overturned to a no contest.

This controversy has cast a shadow over what was initially hailed as a career-defining performance for Garcia, raising serious questions about fairness and integrity in boxing.
