Beyoncé Shocks Everyone by Rising to Become the Second Most-Nominated Artist at the 2024 Country Music Awards, Leaving Fans Stunned!

Beyoncé Dominates Country Music Scene with Second-Highest Nominations at 2024 People’s Choice Country Music Awards.

Beyoncé continues to break boundaries, making waves in the Country music world with her recent surge in nominations at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Music Awards. The global superstar has emerged as the second most-nominated artist at the upcoming ceremony, earning 17 nods — just two shy of leading Country star Zach Bryan.

According to Billboard, Beyoncé’s genre-bending album Cowboy Carter has positioned her as a major force in Country music. Her singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” from the album are both nominated for The Female Song of 2024. Additionally, Beyoncé secured two nominations in The Cover Song of 2024 category for her renditions of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and The Beatles’ “Blackbird.” Her version of “Blackbird” features a collaboration with rising Country stars Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, and Tiera Kennedy.

Further cementing her status, Beyoncé has been nominated for several other top honors, including The People’s Artist of 2024, The Social Country Star of 2024, The Album of 2024, The Song of 2024 (for “Texas Hold ‘Em”), The Collaboration Song of 2024 (for “Blackbird”), The Crossover Song of 2024 (for her duet “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus), and The Storyteller Song of 2024 (for “16 Carriages”).

Despite his collaboration with Beyoncé on Cowboy Carter, Post Malone’s feature on “Levii’s Jeans” didn’t land him a song nomination. However, Malone still earned six nominations, five of which were for his hit collaboration with Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help.”

The People’s Choice Country Music Awards — dubbed “the award show for the people, by the people” — allows fans to cast their votes to decide the winners. Voting is currently open and runs through Friday, August 23. In an added twist, votes submitted on “Turbo Tuesday” (August 20) will count twice, offering fans extra incentive to vote. Fans can visit VotePCCA.com to view the full list of nominees and cast their ballots.

While Beyoncé’s push into Country music has had its share of critics, her impact on the genre has been undeniable. This summer, her pop and R&B classics were transformed by a group of rising Black Country singers as part of Apple Music’s ‘Nashville Sessions’ series. The collection, titled Beyoncé Covered, features reimagined versions of hits like “1+1,” “Drunk in Love,” and “Irreplaceable,” performed by Brittney Spencer, Tanner Adell, Joy Oladokun, BRELAND, and more.

Since its release in March, Cowboy Carter has been a massive success. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with 407,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week, marking the biggest sales week of 2024 at the time. Additionally, 23 of the album’s 27 tracks charted on the Billboard Hot 100, bringing Beyoncé’s total career Hot 100 entries to 106. This achievement makes her the 17th artist — and only the third woman — to surpass 100 entries on the Hot 100 since its inception in 1958.

As Beyoncé continues to shake up the Country music world, her presence is likely to have a lasting impact on the genre for years to come. Fans and industry professionals alike are eager to see how her unique blend of styles will influence the future of Country music.
