Beyoncé took a break from her Renaissance World Tour to support husband Jay-Z at his new Book of HOV exhibition at the Brooklyn Central Library. The exhibition showcases thousands of archived objects, including original recording masters, never-before-seen photos, iconic stage wear, prestigious awards, and videos from Jay-Z’s professional life.
The pop superstar, who spent quality time with their daughter Blue Ivy, 11, documented their experience on Instagram. Beyoncé attended the opening thanks to a three-day break in her tour schedule, allowing her to fly to New York after her show in Marseille, France on July 11.
Despite her grueling schedule, Beyoncé looked stunning in a sheer orange dress with a 1970s retro feel. The fabric hugged her figure, while the plunging neckline accentuated her cleavage. She completed her look with gold open-toe heels, a glowing charcoal-orange purse, and her long blonde locks styled in a high ponytail.
Beyoncé arrived at the event arm-in-arm with Jay-Z, who looked dapper in a black suit and white dress shirt. Blue Ivy matched her mother’s elegance in a royal blue, off-the-shoulder dress and a matching purse. The pre-teen accessorized with chic sunglasses and had her dark brown tresses styled in long thin braids.
As they walked through the exhibition, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy shared sweet moments, including a loving gesture where Blue Ivy wrapped her arm around her mother’s waist. The mother-daughter duo’s stylish appearance turned heads and captured the essence of the event.
Beyoncé shared several behind-the-scenes snaps on Instagram, showcasing her and Blue Ivy’s fashionable looks. She also staged an impromptu photoshoot, holding a promotional book for the event that read “The Book Of HOV” in white on the blue cover.
The exhibition, now open to the public, spans most of the Brooklyn Public Library’s 352,000 square feet. It highlights Jay-Z’s illustrious career and achievements, providing an immersive experience for fans and visitors.
Jay-Z’s business partner, Bruce Ratner, is married to Linda Johnson, the CEO and president of the Brooklyn Public Library, adding a personal touch to the event’s significance.
Beyoncé’s appearance at the Book of HOV exhibition not only supported her husband but also showcased her timeless style and elegance. With Blue Ivy by her side, the event was a memorable family affair, celebrating Jay-Z’s contributions to music and culture.
