Maybe the actor asked her to call him so he could cleverly show off his phone to photographers, to quell recent divorce rumors.
It’s worth noting that both Affleck and Lopez were seen wearing wedding rings, just days after Affleck was spotted without one. Affleck and Lopez have also been living separately for the past few months, with Ben staying in a $100,000 a month rental house.

Affleck was seen without his wedding ring for the first time on Friday, when he left his rented home in Brentwood. He also didn’t wear it on Saturday when he met his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their daughter Violet. The Gone Girl actor joined the Alias actress, 52, and Violet, 18, to watch his son Samuel’s basketball game in Santa Monica on Saturday. Earlier, the Oscar winner was seen driving a sleek dark gray BMW out of the driveway of the Brentwood home he is currently staying at.

At one point, while walking down the street, Affleck stuck his left arm out of the rolled-down window, revealing that he still decided not to wear his wedding ring. A source recently told Us Weekly in an article published Saturday that Ben moved out of both his and Lopez’s LA home ‘a few weeks ago.’ Ben is currently living in Brentwood while filming his latest project The Account 2.

However, another insider told Us Weekly that the couple have not broken up but are ‘having problems in their marriage’. ‘They started having problems a few months ago when Jen started increasing her work commitments and preparing for her tour.’ A separate source informed PEOPLE on Friday that both Lopez and Affleck ‘did not celebrate Mother’s Day together.’
