Arsenal Star to Miss the Remainder of EURO 2024

Scottish football has been hit with shocking news as defender Kieran Tierney will be sidelined for the remainder of EURO 2024. Tierney sustained a hamstring injury during Scotland’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

Tierney’s injury forced him to leave the pitch during the match against Switzerland. The Scottish Football Association has confirmed that the 27-year-old defender will miss the rest of the tournament.

This injury is a significant blow to Scotland’s hopes of advancing further in the competition. After two group stage matches, Scotland is third in Group A, trailing behind Germany and Switzerland.

Scotland’s task is now to defeat Hungary in their final group stage match to keep their hopes of reaching the Round of 16 alive. Besides Tierney, coach Steve Clarke will also be without several other key players, including Aaron Hickey and Nathan Paterson, due to injuries. Additionally, Ryan Porteous is suspended following his red card in the 1-5 loss to Germany.

“The injury looks quite serious. You have to feel for Kieran. He has been in great form. Kieran is our top star,” coach Steve Clarke shared.
