Anthony Joshua’s Face Left Disfigured After Thunderous Punch from Daniel Dubois!

Anthony Joshua Suffers Devastating Knockout Defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley

Anthony Joshua’s hopes of rebuilding his career took a crushing blow when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of their highly anticipated fight at Wembley. Joshua, who was eyeing a potential clash with the winner of Tyson Fury’s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk later this year, was dominated from start to finish by Dubois. The former Olympic gold medallist was floored four times throughout the bout, in what could be the most decisive loss of his career.

Dubois, the underdog in the fight, entered the ring with a clear determination to prove his worth as the IBF champion, a title he earned after Usyk vacated the belt in June. From the opening bell, Dubois relentlessly pursued Joshua, landing powerful shots that continually shook the former world champion.

The pivotal moment came in the fifth round of the fight, after a dramatic series of exchanges that saw both fighters land significant blows. Joshua, who had moments of success, was finally caught by a devastating right hand from Dubois that ended the fight. Despite his efforts, Joshua was unable to beat the referee’s count.

The fight started with high energy as British music legend Liam Gallagher hyped the crowd with a live set before the opening bell. Once the action began, Dubois quickly took control. Weighing in at a career-high 17st 10lbs, he pressed forward aggressively and was even warned twice for his use of the head.

In the first round, a powerful overhand right from Dubois sent Joshua crashing to the canvas. Though Joshua managed to get back on his feet, the bell rang, saving him from further punishment.

Joshua entered the second round in full survival mode, desperately holding on as Dubois continued his assault. While Dubois’ eagerness led to some frantic moments, he remained dangerous. In the third round, a left hook caused Joshua’s legs to buckle, and he was floored once again. Joshua barely made it through the standing eight count before the bell rang.

As the fourth round commenced, Joshua hit the canvas for the third time. He protested, claiming it wasn’t a legitimate knockdown, but the damage was done. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, looked shocked at ringside as the fight appeared to slip out of Joshua’s control.

The fifth round delivered the final blow. Joshua, briefly finding success with two rights, attempted to build momentum. However, Dubois, unfazed, responded with a series of powerful right hands that sent Joshua to the floor for the final time. This time, Joshua couldn’t beat the count.

Both Joshua and Dubois entered the fight looking for a shot at the undisputed world championship against either Fury or Usyk. However, with Dubois’ dominant victory, it is now Joshua who faces serious questions about his future in the sport.
