Anthony Joshua has seemingly issued a chilling warning to Daniel Dubois as the two British heavyweights prepare for a potential showdown at Wembley.
Daniel Dubois recently secured the interim IBF heavyweight title with a stunning eighth-round TKO victory over the previously undefeated Filip Hrgovic in Saudi Arabia, earning him a spot in the ring against Joshua.
The victory over Hrgovic has set the stage for a massive domestic clash between Dubois and Joshua, and negotiations for the bout are currently underway. SunSport reports that the fight could take place at Wembley Stadium on either September 20 or 21.
Joshua, 34, was present ringside for Dubois’ significant win and took to Instagram to issue a warning to his potential opponent. Sharing a photo of himself watching the fight, Joshua wrote, “The hardest part about my job is realising you have to ruin someone else’s dream to achieve yours.”
Dubois, 26, experienced a setback in his previous attempt at heavyweight gold when he faced undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk last August. Now, with a major fight against Joshua on the horizon, Dubois will be looking to capitalize on his recent momentum and prove himself against one of the sport’s biggest names.
Boxing fans can look forward to what promises to be an electrifying encounter, as both fighters are eager to secure their place at the top of the heavyweight division. Sign up for our Boxing newsletter to stay updated on all the latest news and developments regarding this highly anticipated matchup.
