America’s Heavyweight Hope ‘Will Get KOd’ By Most Avoided Fighter On Terence Crawford Card

The upcoming August 3 boxing event promises to be a night of thrilling matchups, headlined by the super-welterweight clash between Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov. In addition to this marquee fight, the card is packed with heavyweight action that is sure to captivate fans.

Former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. is set to make a significant return as he takes on Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller. Ruiz, who shocked the world by defeating Anthony Joshua in 2019, is eager to get back into title contention. Meanwhile, Miller is looking to bounce back from his first career defeat, a stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia at the end of last year.

Adding to the heavyweight excitement, Jared Anderson, who shares Miller’s ‘Big Baby’ nickname, will also feature on the undercard. Anderson, hailed as America’s next heavyweight hope by former WBC champion Tyson Fury, has a stellar knockout record. The 24-year-old has 15 knockouts in his 17 victories and remains undefeated. Anderson’s bout against Martin Bakole is anticipated to be the toughest test of his career thus far.

Bakole, with only one loss on his record—a stoppage defeat to Michael Hunter six years ago—has been on a resurgence. His recent TKO victory over world title challenger Carlos Takam has earned him a reputation as ‘the most avoided man’ in boxing, according to his promoter Ben Shalom.

In a recent interview with IFL TV, Bakole’s trainer Billy Nelson expressed confidence in his fighter’s ability to secure an early finish against Anderson. “I’m very confident that Martin will stop Anderson and I think it will be early. He would have never ever faced anybody like Martin Bakole before, he won’t have. He’ll win and move on. No problem. He will win,” Nelson asserted.

The Anderson vs. Bakole fight is set to take place in Los Angeles and is part of the first-ever Riyadh Season event to be hosted outside of The Kingdom. This adds an extra layer of significance to an already action-packed card, as it marks a historic occasion for the Riyadh Season initiative.

As the boxing world eagerly anticipates this event, the August 3 card is shaping up to be a night of high-stakes and high-drama matchups. With Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov headlining, and the heavyweight clashes featuring Andy Ruiz Jr., Jarrell Miller, and Jared Anderson, fans can expect an unforgettable night of boxing.
