During the recent MotoGP tests at Montmeló, there was a curious moment between the Márquez brothers. Marc Márquez, who was making his debut with the official Ducati team, was caught making a gesture with his middle finger towards the Gresini Racing box, where his brother Álex Márquez competes.
Alex explained the context behind this gesture: “Marc responded to the greeting and to the fact that he had been told we were in front of him.” This exchange reflects the camaraderie and banter common between the brothers, even in a competitive environment.
Marc also clarified the situation, mentioning that the Gresini team, including his brother and father, were joking with him because Alex had recorded a faster time during testing. “Team Gresini is always joking. In the last stint, they were laughing outside the garage because they told me on Sunday: ‘We will finish ahead of you in every race!’ And already in the first test, they finished ahead of me with Alex. Even my father was with them. So, I told them ‘fuck you!’ But it was just a joke.”
These types of interactions highlight the good atmosphere and close relationship between the Márquez brothers, who, despite being on different teams, maintain a dynamic of support and humor on and off the track.
