Oleksandr Usyk has lightheartedly dubbed Tyson Fury as ‘greedy belly’ ahead of their anticipated rematch later this year. The duo recently engaged in a memorable bout in Saudi Arabia, which Usyk clinched via a split decision after a full 12 rounds.
Their rematch is scheduled for December 21, and Usyk has taken a playful jab at his opponent, likening Fury to sparkling water. In an interview with Three Knockdown Rule, Usyk remarked, “Anthony Joshua has classy boxing. Greedy Belly, my friend Tyson Fury. It’s like sparkling water, when you open it without shaking it’s good. If you shake it, it [blows]. Sparkling water is Tyson Fury and still water is Anthony Joshua. Tyson’s arms are like two metres, like a rope.”
While Usyk managed to secure victory against Fury, he acknowledges the tough challenge the 37-year-old posed. Despite considering Fury his toughest opponent to date, Usyk noted that Fury wasn’t necessarily the hardest puncher he has faced. “I would say toughest fight, yes, but I think biggest punch, no,” he stated.
