Last month, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in the fight of a generation in Saudi Arabia. He thus became the new undisputed heavyweight champion, a first in 25 years. Now, the Ukrainian has a new goal in mind: to return to the cruiserweight division after the rematch later this year against Fury.

Oleksandr Usyk – now the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO champion – defeated Tyson Fury by split decision in an exhilarating bout at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. And while a rematch is scheduled for the end of 2024, he now wishes to retrace his steps. It is worth noting that Usyk was previously the undisputed cruiserweight champion before moving up to heavyweight in 2019.
